Propagation Workshop Sunday, June 28, 2009 at 1:00 pm Joe Kiefer . A plant propagation workshop on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at 1:00 pm will be taught by Joe Kiefer at Triple Oaks Nursery. The cost of this very unique and informative event is $79. This hands on propagation workshop will allow gardeners to try many types of plant propagation. Joe’s workshop will cover an remarkable range of subject matter including seeds , cuttings, divisions, plant breeding, and lots of special techniques used by the pros. Soil, pots, trays, seeds, plant divisions etc provided. Please bring a sharp pruner and knife. Many techniques will be demonstrated and used by students. These can be adapted to most plants . Everything's Coming Up Roses is a very unique class in which you make a beautiful dried rose wreath. Held on Sunday February 15 at 1:30 P M. the class is taught by Lorraine Kiefer. this Informative lecture and demo will discuss the history, legends, and practical uses of roses. Available today is Green Grape which is a wonderful yellow green color with a fresh interesting zesty flavor. Also available is Riesentraube (German Strawberry) this is a German heirloom cherry tomato with amazing flavor. Next is Camp Joy Cherry which an heirloom from California which is a big fat cherry tomato that is incredibly sweet and tasty. If you would like to order any, please call in and request it. June is the month of roses! They certainly are one of the most beloved and popular of all flowers throughout history. Roses are often thought of as hard to grow plants, but recently the knock out rose made its claim to fame and changed rose growing. There are a lot of knock out rose fans in the garden world and most are thrilled to have another knock out in the ring! Said to be the best, Rainbow Knock Out is even more floriferous and disease-resistant than its famous parent the red knock out.
